Customize Available File Upload Types (Hub Only)

Hubs have control over which upload file types a customer will see when uploading files to orders. The default options Front and Back are shown if no specific selections are set on any option/value selections in the product calculator.

Below is a guide for how to customize the available upload file types for product option/value sets. Only hubs have the ability to customized file upload types, and for hubs all option/value sets can have upload file types configured.

  2. Once the catalog page has loaded locate and click the Manage Global Product Options link displayed at the top of the page in the sub-navigation area.

  3. Click the EDIT OPTION VALUES button on the Option you

  4. Select the EDIT button beside the value for which you want to select upload file types to display.

  5. Check the upload file types to offer for this value on this option and then press the UPDATE button.

  6. Once your selections are made and saved, depending on which option/values your customers select, the upload file types listed when checking out or adding files to an order will be determined by the settings you specified.

In this instance only FRONT is set for 1/0 Black Only Single Sided value on the COLORS option.

In this instance, both FRONT and BACK are set for Double Sided - 4/4 Color Both Sides value on the COLORS option.

So, what happens if the product has multiple option/value choices in the calculator? Here are some examples for how the system will decide what upload file types to offer when the customer is uploading files for the product.

Example 1: If there are 10 values present and selected for a cart item or job and none of those values have any file types set the upload file types would default to offering front and back.

Example 2: If there are 10 values present and selected for a cart item or job and one of those values has a file type set then that file upload type will be the only one used.

Example 3: If there are 10 values present and selected for a cart item or job and two of those values have file types set, then those 2 file upload types will be used.

Note: The defaults are only used if no file upload types are set for any of the values present for a cart item or job.
